You are right to indicate that the components of a compelling vision can be employed by both a self-serving and servant leader. Albeit, I believe that the biblical call to servitude cannot be employed as a modifier of any other gift one might have. For example, I believe that the phrase "servant leadership" is a bit of a slippery slope. Why? God has called us all first to servanthood, not leadership. As Siang-Yang Tan writes in his FANTASTIC book called "Full Service: Moving from Self-Serve Christianity to Total Servanthood": "Servanthood 101 is the foundational course of life and ministry for disciples or followers of Jesus Christ." The ministry of the towel transcends the individual gifts bestowed upon Christians by the Spirit.

Therefore, "servant leadership" troubles me.

Just some thoughts for you!

So, are you saying Mom is changing with the times....on Twitter and Facebook? Now as far as the other stuff, I haven't a clue what they are talking about. Guess when you are home over Christmas break you can give Mom and Dad a lesson on the "other" stuff.

Danny, Will you be here just until August again? And when is your birthday for real? I read you had your not-birthday birthday cake. Made in the camper oven again? Did it fair well?
